My love of Nick Drakes Music began when i heard "Pink Moon" on the Radio. I bought a Cd in Manchester called "A Tresuary" which is what Nick Drake is. His songwriting ability was so far advanced and his voice wasnt the kind of voice you would think would come from a white man, it was more of black voice, which made it even more special to listen, as im a massive fan of "American Black music". Nick Drake came out of a the folk revolucion which is funnily known as the Quiet revloution. He is up in legend with the likes of "Sandy Denny" "Bert Jansh" "John Martyn" "Incredable String Band". His album "Pink Moon" is my all time favourate of his. Some of the songs to me are full of emotion and as i write songs as well i can see where he is going with the songs, there is almost hidden messages of Help and anger. This man who was very quiet and was very much hurting inside which was probarly to play a big part in his sudden death at a very young age. I love his music, its poetry. He was the "William Wondsworth" of music.
